The 2009 South West Cyclo-Cross League will be contested over 10 off-road circuits, 9 promoted in Somerset, Devon and Cornwall PLUS the South of England Championships in Southampton. The series begins in September and concludes in December. All South West League events are sanctioned and held under British Cycling regulations.

All events provide races for Under 12's, Youth, Women, Junior, Seniors and Veterans. The format for each category is as follows:
League Entry Form:
Entry for all rounds except ROUND 9 is on the day. Round 9 entries need to be sent to the organser of the South of England Champs at least 21 days prior to the event. To assist our volunteer sign on team please download a copy of the entry form and bring it to registration completed, this will speed up your registration. Please remember to present your British Cycling Membership card at sign-on, otherwise Sen, Jun, Vet and Lady competitors will be charged a £3 event surcharge. Event timetable:
10.30am: Under 12's - Duration 10 minutes.
11.00am: Youth - Duration 30 minutes. 12.30pm: Senior, Junior, Women and Vets - Duration 60 minutes. *Different timetable for Rounds 2 and 9.
South West Cyclo-Cross Age Categories Explained:Please take a moment to establish your correct age category, this maybe different to what is displayed on your British Cycling membership card/license.Scoring points towards your league standing:Points will be awarded to the first 30, in each category, on the basis of: 50 to the winner, 46 to second place, 42 to third place; 38, 34, 30, 28, 26, 24, 22, 20 and then descending by 1 point intervals to 1 point for 30th place. A riders accumalated points will decide their overall position, with a maximum of SEVEN rounds to count. In the event of a tie on points, overall positions will be decided on the basis of placing in the final event. Events carry, where applicable, British Cycling National Ranking points. |
